Another rescue with a happy ending took place this morning. We were notified about an elderly female dog that was trapped in a ravine in the Treis area and needed help to get out safely.
Thankfully, everything went well. The dog had become tangled in branches and was unable to leave the spot by herself, but she was safely rescued and taken to the shelter.
Once she arrived at the shelter, we checked her for a microchip. Fortunately, she had one, which allowed us to contact her owners quickly.
Her owners were informed and came to collect her, bringing this rescue to the best possible ending. Moments like this remind us how important it is for every animal to have a microchip and registered contact details.
We are happy that this elderly girl is safe and back with her family.
